Going Barefoot, Reflexology Retreats

A friend of mine asked ‘Where do you think the old habit of not being good enough stems from’ and the answer came to me with a shiver of clarity…. as it’s being a question I’ve been seeking most of my life.

It comes from looking for love in all the wrong places as ‘love’ is always ours, within us.

We don’t always allow ourselves to feel this magnificent ‘love flowing through us’ because we get so busy with life and generally live outside of true selves, forgetting that we are mostly vibrational beings. We are all so much more than the physical flesh and blood that we can see and taste and smell and touch. The vibration we feel and emanate into our world comes from within us all.

The Reflexology Retreats are designed to give people a chance to reconnect with their own love/ heart space.

Receiving Reflexology allows us to go on a journey of our ‘whole’ selves. A Reflexologist travels over every organ, structure and gland, reflected in minute miniature on the feet. We help to release tension in the whole persons’ physicality, mental and vibrational energy.

When we release tension, we are letting go of resistance in our bodies. It is this resistance that over the years we unconsciously use as protection…and it can build, causing discomfort and pain.

We don’t have to know all the reasons why we create this resistance or blocks to our natural love energy. It’s a normal reaction to experiences in life and it helps us to grow and evolve.

It is not for us to judge or justify why we have created blocks in our energy, just that it feels good to release the tension and to feel free and easy. It is harder to stay balanced if we are carrying blocks of resistance. It’s much easier, much simpler, to release and go with the flow.

If we have stored a negative emotion or suppressed a negative feeling, it can come up when we receive reflexology. That is a good thing. It is better out than in. All trapped emotions can cause discomfort or disease in our bodies. Maybe we didn’t want to allow the feeling at the time, maybe our brains kicked in or we subconsciously decided it wasn’t good to feel that emotion. It’s not right or wrong but it is past and it is safe in the present to allow ourselves to feel all our emotions. Don’t judge, just allow yourself to feel the emotion if it comes up. Feel, observe, and breathe. It is better out than in and if you want to laugh, laugh and if tears flow, let them flow.

Most body work, meditation, yoga and other mindfulness activities encourage us to be present in the moment and to feel more in alignment with our true vibrational energy, which is love.
